Part 2! I squished 2 and 3 into one tutorial because I'm lazy. So, last tutorial unless theres something else you guys want explained. :D Wich means this file is huge, watch out dial up users!

Part one of the tutorial, Isolating Lineart: [link]

This is by no means the only way to color, or the only method you should use. Everyone has different needs as an artist and everyone has their own way of doing things. I encourage you to seek out other methods of coloring and creating your images, because that's the best way to learn!

Hope this helps, and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!

Yeah, I know I color in a weird ass way. D:

PS: I highly recommend that anyone who is serious about getting into coloring and such on the computer get a tablet. It makes it a bajillion times easier and faster! I recommend Wacom Tablets because I've got nothing but good things to say about mine. I use a 12x12 Wacom Intous 2 to work in photoshop.

Thats generally all there is to it! Of course you can always incorperate other methods and techmiques into it to get different effects and styles! :)

Ahh, thank you for your tutorials. I know they are such a pain in the ass to make, but these two came out wonderfully. The lineart tutorial helped me the greatest because, for the longest time, I had no idea how to isolate the lineart >_> gahh!

Thanks for sharing :)
this tutorial rocks hard :D

hmm, this is pretty informative. i think i'll try out this style. though i'm curious about how you did step 6 (or just the general coloring) - as in how did you know where to put the lights? or is that just something where practice makes perfect? my colorings tend to look embossed (like a penny) instead of 3-d, z: (.
heh, and i just found a problem - i tried lowering the colors of an image (my most recent post) and realized i had more than one base color.. so uh, what do you do there, leave the lighter colors till later?
I've always wondered how you've colored your stuff. It's a really individual style, and it's awesome to see your technique!
