This is 'Attacks-First', one of *LINCARD1000's sci-fi reptilian/demony Vanguard characters. He's attempting to flee from a bunker subject to attack from an orbital particle cannon strike of some sort.

These guys are really cool, and you should check out *LINCARD1000's gallery and read some of his writing because he can describe what's going on here far better than I just did. :D


character/species belong to *LINCARD1000 (Title also his courtesy!)

edit: black bars gone, thanks for the crit. I also came to find them distracting. :)

That is absolutely stunning! There's so much movement in a supposedly 'still' picture. Awesome perspective too, you managed to pull it off nicely!

Your colouring and effect-usage just blows me away. :thumbsup:

This is a very dynamic and interesting picture :3 I like the beam of light and the details you paid attention to in the figure as well as the background. However, I think you probably could have gotten some more darks with your values, it would add a lot to the picture, make it more dramatic (especially considering the subject matter). Also, the monsters expression looks more angry than 'omfg gotta get out of here!'. And one last thing; the black sides are very distracting, especially since there aren't any blacks in the picture plane..my eye tends to look at them more than they do the image itself.

A very nice drawing you have here though :3 Great job!

Fantastic! The life and the sheer velocity of this piece's movement blow me away. It's incredible to see how your artwork has changed and advanced of resent months. I'd love to see just how your work method has changed since you made that tutorial so long ago.

Anyways, a much deserved :+fav: is in order ;)

I actually took several WIP screens of this one to perhaps make a walk through or something of the sort, but I didn't know if there would be enough interest. Perhaps I will post it! ;)

This looks so bad@$$. Although I do wonder where the beam goes past his arm. Is it like completely obscured by the flames and smoke? Aside from that, this is an awesome piece.
